The Member Chief of a police corps's mandate

Full members are elected for a term which coincides with the duration of their mandate as chief of a police corps. Participation in the Standing Commission of the Local Police is not automatically renewed when the mandate as head of the police corps is being renewed, should the case arise.

A member whose mandate as police chief has been renewed or whose mandate becomes vacant for other reasons shall remain in office until a new member is elected.
